Sheade Therapy and Consulting

Rooted in Connection. Guided by Purpose.

Therapy

Therapy is more than what happens in session. It's about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, challenged, and connected. At Sheade Therapy and Consulting, we believe meaningful change begins with belonging.

Sheade Therapy and Consulting grew from more than a decade of clinical practice, leadership, training, and one central belief: People do better when they know they belong.

Our Story

A New Name. Deep Roots.

Sheade Therapy and Consulting is the next chapter of more than fifteen years of serving individuals, couples, children, and families in the Valley.

From 2011-2026, our work grew through Integrated Mental Health Associates. As our leadership, vision, and work evolved, it was time for the practice to evolve too.

Sheade Therapy and Consulting carries that experience forward while creating something more intentional: a practice rooted in connection, belonging, clinical excellence, and community.

What We Believe:

Belonging Changes Things.

Count

Connection

People grow when they know they matter.

People grow when they know there is a place for them.

Capable

Courage

Change happens when people know they can do hard things.

Growth naturally follows when someone knows they can show up and be supported even when it feels difficult.

We believe that people grow when they experience:

Belonging isn't about fitting in. It's about knowing there is room for you to be fully yourself.

Meet Dr. Erica

Dr. Erica Tatum-Sheade, DSW, LCSW, RPT-S CAdPT

For Dr. Erica, therapy has always come back to one question: What helps people know they belong?

Her work with children, families, groups, and clinicians combines more than two decades of social work experience with Adlerian principles, play therapy, and a deep understanding of how identity, relationships, and community shape the way we see ourselves.

She is also the creator of G.E.M.S.® (Girls Empowered, Motivated & Strong), a speaker, trainer, clinical supervisor, and long-time advocate for culturally responsive mental health care.
